Client
Hug Bug specializes in creating imaginative stories for young readers. They focus on providing children with variety’s of books, the focus being on friendly monsters. Their goal is to make the monster a loved figure in children’s books, and an inspiration to never judge a book by its cover.
Target Audience
The target audience would be young children, parents, and teachers. This would also be targeted towards those who want to teach children to never judge a book by its cover. For example, the monster might appear a bit scary at first glance, but once they get to know him, he’s actually super friendly and caring.
Logo Design
In crafting the Hug Bug logo, my aim was to represent the essence of "Bug" with simplicity. To achieve this, I incorporated bug-like features into the design. The H is depicted in light blue at its top gradient, while the B is rendered in dark blue at its lower gradient, ensuring clarity in the phrase "Hug Bug."
T-Shirt Design
The aim of this t-shirt design is to depict Von Grimbleton in his element as a spider. The design features him in a web, offering a friendly wave, with his name boldly displayed underneath.

Book Cover
The concept for the book cover was to depict Von enjoying pleasant weather outdoors, hanging off the book's title. Surrounding elements are kept simple to appeal to children.
Sticker Pack
Many children adore stickers, especially featuring their beloved characters. This sticker pack showcases Von in various poses, providing a range of options for children to enjoy independently or for teachers/parents to distribute as gifts.
